Dirty Apron gift cards are non-refundable, not redeemable for cash and cannot be replaced if lost, damaged or stolen. All gift cards can be used toward cooking classes online or over the phone. You can also use your gift card toward purchases made in-store.
Cancellation Policy - Cooking School
The cooking school does not offer cash, credit or debit card refunds. Please carefully read the following information on our policiy regarding transfers, cancellation and fees:
Should you need to reschedule a booked cooking class, we appreciate advance notice.
Guests who provide notice 14 days (or more) prior to the booked class will be exempt from transfer fees. Reschedules made 7-13 days prior to the booked class are subject to a 25% booking transfer fee, while reschedules made 4-6 days prior are subject to a 50% booking transfer fee. All class transfers will need to take place upon providing reschedule notice via phone, and used towards a class within 8 weeks of the originally booked class. Should there be a wait-list for the class that you wish to reschedule, and The Dirty Apron is able to fill your spot with alternate guests, the transfer fees will be waived.
Cancellations within 72 hours of the booked class and no-shows forfeit the full course fee.
Please note that it is the responsibility of the booked customer to arrange for suitable transportation before and after a cooking class. The Dirty Apron does not allow refunds or transfers due to weather conditions.
In exceptional circumstances, we reserve the right to cancel published classes. Customers' whose bookings are affected will be transferred to a suitable alternative.
Maximum booking size
We cannot take bookings for groups of more than 8 people on a published class. For group bookings of 9 or more people please visit the Group Events section for further information.
Attendance of Minors
We periodically offer kids & teen cooking camps for 7-11 and 12-17 year olds. To attend these classes we will need an agreement form signed by a parent or guardian, which will be emailed out approx. 5 days prior to the first day of camp.
For our standard hands-on or Demo & Dine cooking classes, attendees under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult. The cooking school must be advised in advance of minors in attendance of a cooking class.
Where possible, our chefs will accommodate dietary constraints. As a courtesy we ask that you alert our staff of allergies and dietary restrictions upon booking OR 7 days prior to the booked class. Allergies are the responsibility of the attendee and not of the Dirty Apron Cooking School. We are unable to take responsibility for allergic reactions to foodstuffs. Food prepared both on and off site may contain traces of nuts.
All class bookings and online purchases are confirmed by email. When ordering a gift card online, one can choose between in-store pick-up or free delivery by Canada Post. Delivery times will vary depending on destination. In most instances, standard delivery for gift cards within BC will be within 3 business days. For orders outside of BC or Canada please allow for more time.
Refund Policy - Delicatessen
Refunds on merchandise purchased in the delicatessen will be issued with a valid receipt.
Taxation and Duties
As the Dirty Apron Cooking School is operated out of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, all listed prices will be subject to GST (5%), and PST (7%), where applicable.
