From our renowned cooking school and popular deli; to the best-selling The Dirty Apron Cookbook, our bustling catering business and our new educational YouTube cooking channel- it all comes back to one thing: We are the destination for home cooks, the curious and seasoned professionals alike to learn, explore and unleash culinary imagination.
Born out of a passion for great food, The Dirty Apron is owned by husband and wife team, Chef David and Sara Robertson. David’s formidable background as an award-winning chef, and his passion for customer service has been a winning combination since The Dirty Apron opened in 2009.
Whether teaching over 10,000 students a year how to cook; providing beautiful food for our catering customer’s most special life events; or making gourmet deli fare, The Dirty Apron’s approach is centered around fresh, delicious ingredients; strong relationships with local farmers, growers and suppliers; and creating memorable moments.
The Dirty Apron YouTube Cooking Channel
On a mission to spread our passion for good food, and teach even more people how to cook delicious recipes, we have recently launched a YouTube Cooking Channel. Chef David Robertson shares a tasty new recipe and instructional video every week. The videos provide many insider tips and tricks, demystifying the fine dining industry one dish at a time. From mise-en-plus to preparation to presentation, the videos help equip subscribers with the necessary know-how to prepare beautiful dishes.
The plates are of the same high-quality and level as those taught in the cooking school. Recipes shared include Bourbon Maple Pan-Roasted Quail with Crispy Potato Rosti; Smoked Sablefish with Buttered Crab; Fricassee of Mussels, Clams & Chorizo; Frangelico & Red Wine Poached Pear Tart; and Spanish Grilled Octopus.
